About Us

Parsons Pottery started by husband and wife team, John and Rosie, they are now joined by Phoebe who has been trained by John.

Having formally worked as a production thrower, John developed his skill and knowledge, first at Betterware in Essex and then at Wetheriggs Pottery in Penrith. After meeting Rosie, John continued to focus on throwing skills while Rosie took on the role of pottery technician and assistant. Together they established Pucklechurch Pottery in Bristol where they focused on making and selling their work.

In 2020, following a move to the north coast in Cornwall, John and Rosie took their project to the next level and founded Parsons Pottery based at their workshop at Quinceborough Farm. While they continue to sell their work they now enjoy meeting a range of local residence and holidays makers through their range of courses, classes and workshops in throwing, hand build and pottery painting.

Phoebe, who grew up in Bude, has been trained by John in production throwing and other skills and she is now a competent and gifted potter in her own right.
